Meeting a lesbian couple-who happen to be great friends of mine-for some drinks yesterday reinforced my point of view on gays: they really are happy people.
Another one:
Gay pride 2012 taking place in Amsterdam was almost as crowded as the last Dutch Queensday; however, no fights occurred.
Basically the celebration of two events were almost the same, gay pride made the whole Netherlands became pink; Queensday made it orange. Tons of (cheap) beers were involved. But gay pride was way friendlier: people smiled on street, the participants were very much open to talk to foreigners, none of them (or at least not that I know of after walking around for 4 hours) was racist to the Chinese by saying "ni hao" to all Asians like those ignorant people I saw on Queensday who sadly cannot differentiate Asians. Above all, no blood involved.
Gays are indeed the happiest creatures on earth.
